BDA was growing and this set the agency for a fundamental choice: growing further independently or co-operate with another agency. We wanted to scale faster and work an a system level to have more impact on biodiversity and climate adaptation. Knowledge and drive were there; network and back-up insufficiently.
In Rebel we've found a good match. Rebel is a strategy and financial consultancy, with more than 250 consultants, international presence, headquartered in Rotterdam. Rebels are entrepreneurial consultants and it roughly consists of a holding with several different ventures, each with their own expertise. Jan Coen van Elburg (founder and managing partner of Rebel Energy) and Mark Bode together founded Rebel Flora & Fauna. We have an international focus on another economic narrative where economy and ecology go hand in hand to improve biodiversity and climate adaptation.
